I want to test my ROS program on a unity simulator, it is written for unix platform how would I install and run it. or is there a way to port forward from the website to the simulator on my pc ?

You can use RDS (ROS Development Studio) and its feature of VPN. http://rds.theconstructsim.com/

Unity simulator does not work with ROS off-the-shelf unless you do some tricks
